DJ Envy Leaves Hot 97, Moves To Power 105.1 FM

DJ Envy, a long time staple on New York radio's Hot 97, has officially moved on. The longtime personality for the station has decided to switch sides and join the Power 105.1 FM family.

Power 105 is shaking up the lineup for their station further by announcing Malikha Mallette as the new co-host on "The Ed Lover Show," 5:30-9:30 am. The announcement was made official by the station's program director Cadillac Jack who shed light on the situation saying,

“I'm thrilled to have DJ Envy add his energy and expertise to the Power team in the afternoons! Moreover, Malikha and Ed have a chemistry reminiscent of any great entertainment team. These 2 moves create the ultimate one-two punch for Power 105.1."

DJ Envy made his own formal announcement about the switch via his Twitter saying,

“I'm excited to start hosting afternoons at Power 105.1. Now I'm with the first person that put me on the radio, Ed Lover, and the person who taught me how to mix, DJ Clue. I'm honored to join a young team of talented jocks. The grind begins…it's Movvinn!!!

While DJ Envy and Malikha Mallete are celebrating their come ups, it should be duly noted that this means Free formerly of 106 & Park is out of a job. Mallete is replacing her as co-host on the Ed Lover Show.
