Mother's Breast Milk Laced With Crystal Meth Allegedly Kills 2-Month Old Infant [Video]

Kaisha Poulson, a  25-year-old Georgia woman, was charged with murder in the death of her son after it was dicovered her breast milk was laced with crystal meth.

An autopsy revealed that the 2-month infant named Jack died last March from methamphetamine poisoning.

"The mother was breastfeeding the child and passed the methamphetamine to the child resulting in the death of the child," said Scott Israel of the Fayetteville Police Department.

Poulson  was arrested in June on charges of possessing gamma-hydroxybutyric acid and morphine.

Investigators had been waiting on the toxicology report from the state crime lab to determine if the mother's drug use contributed to her infant's death.

She was also charged with showing a 14-year-old relative how to use the drug oxycodone.

    When people do drugs they do stupid things. She honestly had no intent on hurting her baby. She has had an awful time trying to cope with this horrible tragedy and the family has also. Show some comp*****ion on someone who made a mistake! Everyone makes them! There is no way she planned this and probably didn't think taking the drugs would affect baby Jack!     To bad we can't get the authorities to do something about these
    people before things like this happens. They mostly tell you, we need to have evidence the person is unfit. By the time you get proof, its to late.

    Wow- y'all have some horrible mouths for such an obviously complicated, serious, and tragic situation. Makes you sound very ignorant- almost as ignorant as a strung out, abusive mother.
    I'm a social worker in NYC jails and I work with women charged in the murder of their children. In nearly all such cases, long histories of complex trauma and unimaginable violence/neglect contextualize mom's fatal choices. We don't know this woman's past but I'm willing to bet a hundred its scattered with some horrific abuse and victimization. And context always matters!! Check your privilege before you run your mouth on situations you know nothing about!!!
