U.S. News & World Report Lists The Top 20 HBCUs In The Country

U.S. News & World Report has released their official list of the top 20 historically Black colleges and universities in the country.

The organization reports that to qualify for the U.S. News ranking, an HBCU also must be an undergraduate baccalaureate-granting institution that enrolls primarily first-year, first-time students and must have been a school that was currently part of the 2011 Best Colleges rankings.

    While I don't doubt the rich history and achievement of the aforementioned schools. I do believe Bowie State University should have not only made the list ,but it should have come in the top 10!

    How a college comprised of only women without very limited graduate programs if any is ranked ahead of a University with over 6x their enrollment w/ world renowned medical and legal programs is beyond me. Similar to an Institute thinking they are a University. Shout out to Hampton you guys stay cl*****y out there with your policy implementations. Enjoy your freshman curfews *****uming they still treat you like babies.

    Glad to see all the Universities, colleges and institutes up there and hopefully we can improve the quality of education at all of our schools.
