Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg Enter Billboard Top 10

Taylor Gang General Wiz Khalifa posted a strong first week with his highly anticipated Atlantic records debut Rolling Papers, moving 198,000 units in its first week in stores. That was good enough to land Wiz at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200.

There was Twitter rumor brewing that the Pittsburgh spitter had only managed to move 6,070 copies that may have been due to a hitsdailydouble.com sales prediction that was only partially tallied.

In other news, West coast OG, Snoop Dogg came in at No. 8 on the charts after last week’s debut of his 11th studio album, Doggumentary. Uncle Snoop managed to move 50,500 copies.

E-40 premiered two albums in the Top 40, making the list with both albums from his double disk Revenue Retrievin’: Graveyard Shift checked (No. 40, 13,600 units) and Revenue Retrievin’: Overtime Shift (No. 42, 13,400).

After four weeks on the charts, Lupe Fiasco’s third studio album Lasers has moved down to the No. 16 position after selling an additional 23,400 units last week. Lasers has sold a respectable 303,200 since its debut.

Eminem’s Recovery continues to be a staple on the charts pushing another 17,500 units giving Shady 3,773,100 units sold, after 41 weeks.

Young Money first lady Nicki Minaj has moved a grand total of 1,281,300 copies of her debut Pink Friday, selling 19,900 more disks this week after 19 weeks in stores.
