Damon Dash Served With Court Papers For Illegally Selling Alcohol

Is Dame Dash bootlegging alcohol? Well, according to The Village Voice, yes he is.

Reports state that the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder and his associates are catching heat for running an unlicensed club called DD172 in New York City, and have been served with of six counts of storing and selling alcohol without a license.

Dash reportedly moved out of the space in New York’s Tribeca neighborhood in June, but were first hit for violating the liquor code this past May and in November 2010.

From hiphopdx:

The violations “were conducted in an open and notorious manner and the operators of this establishment appear to have evinced a ‘business as usual’ attitude in the subject premises.”

The club’s actions apparently constitute a “public nuisance,” and plaintiffs are seeking a preliminary injunction from the judge as well as a restraining order.

Dame Dash continues to struggle in his life after Roc-A-Fella, meanwhile Jay-Z is sitting atop Forbes “Cash Is King” list as the top money earners in Hip-Hop.

That has nothing to do with this story, I just wanted to throw that out there.
