The RZA has come along away since a failed deal with Tommy Boy Records led to the creation of the Wu-Tang Clan. In a feature profile in GQ magazine, the rapper/producer/actor and now very official director—The Man With The Iron Fists is in theaters tomorrow (Nov. 2nd)—talks about everything from his Shaolin come up to his current life as a key player in Hollyweird.

RZA's directorial debut is billed as being presented by Quentin Tarantino, who he worked with previously while putting together the Kill Bill soundtrack. "I knew the vision [for Iron Fists] was in my head. I knew I could do it," RZA told GQ. "But I knew I had to learn how to do it. I went to a proper teacher, and he [Quentin Tarantino] accepted me as a student."

Reminiscing back to the halcyon days of the Wu, the Abbot was candid about the debauchery their success afforded. "I just had to get out the cage, kid. Had to get out the cage," he said. "And I enjoyed that sh-t, man. I had a lot of fun. For two years straight, I had super fun. I had all kind of p-ssies, spent millions of dollars for hundreds of bitches, you know what I mean? I really ran wild and had five girlfriends, probably. Anything. I'd f-ck anything. I was on it, kid."

However, Bobby Digital drew the line at bring women into the studio. “[Ol' Dirty Bastard] always tried to break the rule. Argued with me over it. No women. I mean, in the beginning, on the first album, maybe somebody would bring a b-tch and everybody'd f-ck her on the roof, like a gang bang. But no, not in the studio. Not in the studio.”
