It’s been great to see how Odd Future have matured. As a result, they’ve gone from a California-based motley crew to some of Hip-Hop’s top lyricist over the years. Take this new release from Hodgy Beats, called “HeartOfTheTitty,” for instance.

As the title infers, the west coast MC takes Jay Z’s The Blueprint classic, “Heart Of the City,” to task. Hodgy displays staggering wordplay and a dexterous flow over Kanye West’s soulful production.

“Man it’s great when you the sh*t/When you’re the toilet, things get draining,” raps the 22-year-old, who calls the track “just an update.”

Here’s to hoping that “HeartOfTheTitty” is a sign of new music to come from the OF affiliate. If not, his brethren Earl Sweatshirt should compensate when his debut album, Doris, releases August 20. For now, fans seeking new music from Hodgy can download his Untitled 2 EP.
