While on the red carpet at the BMIs, HipHopWired got a chance to chat with everyone’s favorite ‘uncle’, Charlie Wilson who spoke on a number of topics including Snoop Dogg .
Ubeknownst to many, Wilson previously accepted the coveted BMI Icon Award two years ago, the same award Snoop was honored with Saturday.
Speaking on that he says,
“I’m very happy for him, I’m here for him. To see him get this award is incredible. He knows what the fans like to have, his writing has been incredible throughout his career. I just think this award means we’ve been appreciated and been accepted in writing songs.”
