Everyday might be a holiday for Jermaine Cole these days, but his hometown in North Carolina made three days official. From yesterday (March 1st) through tomorrow (March 3rd), the Roc Nation artist’s original stomping grounds of Fayetville, NC will celebrate with a ‘Dreamville Weekend.’

The weekend will be held in J.Cole’s honor and include speeches and a ‘Dollar and a Dream Show,’ where proceeds will go to the Cumberland Community Foundation. The concert will be held on March 3rd at 9p.m. at the Fillmore Charlotte. As an added bonus, today Cole released a new track “Visionz Of Home.” He made his visions a reality when he went to his old high school, Terry Sanford High to surprise current students. As can be seen in the video below, it was quite the homecoming.

2011 was a big year for J.Cole. His debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story reached certified Gold status in December, and despite missing out on the Best New Artist Award at this year’s Grammys, he’s still a dominant force in the new school rap lineup. Cole also strutted his athletic stuff at the 2012 Sprint Celebrity NBA All-Star Game in Orlando last week, delivering a slam-dunk from MVP Kevin Hart’s alley-oop. The music is still coming too, as prior to “Visionz” Cole served the hot new track “Grew Up Fast.”

Jermaine might not have a shiny gold gramophone on his mantle, but he has a whole holiday to himself. It really is becoming a Cole World.
