Cleveland serial killer, Anthony Sowell, is scheduled to appear in court today to face charges connected to the rape and strangulation of a 32-year-old woman that took place on September 22nd in Cuyahoga County.

The military vet and mass murderer is expected to be arraigned on numerous charges, including multiple counts of kidnapping, rape, and attempted murder.

Authorities say that the victim was raped by Sowell after taking a walk in his Cleveland neighborhood, after which, he lured her back to his home.

“While raping her, he strangled her with a cord until she lost consciousness,” stated a member of Cuyahoga County’s persecutors office via a written statement to media. “When she regained consciousness, he led her out of the house.”

While investigating the rape accusations against Sowell, 50, authorities found the bodies of several other victims at his residence. The count is currently set at 11.

The grizzly killer is facing five counts of rape, aggravated murder, kidnapping, and felonious assault, in connection to the recently discovered victims.

Sowell previously served 15 years behind bars for a 1989 attempted rape; he has only been free for four years.
