Nick Cannon has  been named the global ambassador of the STOMP Out Bullying campaign. Cannon, who has been plagued by health issues as of late, made bullying the focus of his latest video “Die Young” which debuted on BET’s 106 &Park last week. The songs subject matter is deeply personal to the 31-year-old making him the perfect candidate to represent the anti-bullying initiative.

“We are thrilled that Nick has taken on this issue and produced such a compelling video which speaks to kids and teens and those who use suicide as an alternative to end their pain,” said STOMP founder and CEO, Ross Ellis in a statement to Hip-Hop Wired.

Statistics conclude that 1 in 4 children are bullied and 9-35 percent of young people have fallen victim to some form of digital aggression, pushing cyber bullying to an all-time high. Last June, STOMP Out Bullying kicked off its HelpChat Line, which has helped nearly 3,000 students, and saves 52 lives to date. The organization is confident that Cannon will not only bring awareness to the issue, but inspire others to take action against bullying.

Aside from this most recent philanthropic effort, the lauded media personality has been chronicling his road back to good health via his NCredible Health Hustle video series.
