Run-DMC is arguably Hip-Hop’s most legendary group, and its surviving members are getting back together for a reunion concert after ten years apart from each other. Shortly after the passing of their DJ Jam Master Jay, the group formerly disbanded.

“We can’t perform anymore. Nobody wants to see Run-DMC without Jay,” Run said in 2002 to All Hip Hop. “Run-DMC is officially retired. I cannot get out in front of my fans with a new DJ. Some rock bands can replace the drummer and I don’t know any other way but to be the three original members. That’s all I can say. We are retired.”

Run and DMC will reunite at the 7th annual Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, TX on Nov 2-4, hit the jump to check out the video preview.
