No matter what you may think of Nicki Minaj and her music, she has definitely come a long way. Literally going from The Come Up DVD’s to being on The View , Nicki Minaj spoke with the ladies of the daytime talk show and spoke about how the rapping phenomenon was discovered. With Olympic Gold Medal winning gymnast, Gabby Douglas, playing guest host Nicki also fielded questions on her attire.

“I’m less comfortable showing skin,” Nicki says. “I’m not not showing skin because of five and six-year-olds because they have to be parented by their parents.” In this particular segment, it’s good for little girls to “do as she says and not as she does.” Nicki admits she is not anyone’s parents but also that little girls should work hard to not depend on any man in her life. Even perennial nagger Elizabeth Hasslebeck had to agree with that. Hit the jump to check out Nicki’s full segment.
