Profound wordsmith Pharoahe Monch displays his unique sociopolitical outlook on “Damage,” which chronicles the tragedy of inner city killings and mass murder. As the third and final installment of his bullet trilogy, the Jamaica, Queens MC spits from a bullet’s point of view with a phenomenal mastery of the English language. He even goes as far as to use a rapid fire flow to emphasize the gun shooting the proverbial bullet.

Pharoahe taps into his inner LL Cool J, chanting “Ooh, listen to the way I slay your crew,” on the chorus to further play on the track’s bullet POV theme. Produced and mixed by Lee Stone, “Damage” is the first single from the former Rawkus MC‘s forthcoming digital-EP, P.T.S.D. (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), due out late Fall via W.A.R. Media/Duck Down Music.

Be sure to check out the first two installments of the bullet trilogy, Organized Konfusion’s “Stray Bullet” and Desire standout “When the Gun Draws” to get caught up. Familiar fans looking for their daily dose of enlightenment need look no further. Check out “Damage” below.
