Apple devotees are rejoicing today, and will have slimmer wallets shortly. Today the house that Steve Jobs built introduced an iPad Mini, a 13″ MacBook with a Retina Display and a slimmer, more powerful iMac desktop computer. Got that?

The iPad mini  is 23% thinner and 53% lighter than the third generation iPad and comes equipped with 7.9″ Multi-Touch display and all the usual bells and whistles (FaceTime, iSight cameras, 10 hours of battery life, etc.). Also, the iPad proper got a new A6X chip that doubles the speed and performance of the previous A5X chip. The new mini iPad starts at $329, which is higher than was expected.

The 13″ Mac BookPro features the ballyhooed Retina Display that boasts  227 pixels per inch (that’s a bid deal) and features all flash memory storage that’s supposed to 4X faster than traditional hard drives (also a big deal). The starting price of the MacBook Pro is $1700.

The new iMacs are ridiculously thin (40% less volume than the previous version and 5mm thin edge) and sport storage from an all-new Fusion Drive that combines flash and hard drive storage. The new iMacs start at $1300 for the base 21.5″ model and $1800 for the 27″ version. A new Mac mini was also introduced with a starting price of $600.
