A dope Hip-Hop song with a concept. Yes, they still make those.

Buckshot & 9th Wonder drop a video for “Shorty Left,” featuring Rapsody, from their forthcoming album titled The Solution.

In the song, over lush production from 9th, Brooklyn rhyme vet Buckshot lyrically details how his better half broke out because he was too busy on the road to spend enough time with her. In turn, North Carolina lyricist Rapsody drops bars that represent the other side of the equation, saying it may have been a better look if the dude she left traded in that underground rap work for a major label contract. Cold word.

The Solution, Buckshot and 9th’s third collaboration after 2005’s Chemistry and 2008’s The Formula, is in stores November 13th via Jamla/Duck Down and you can pre-order your copy on iTunes here. Watch the Kenneth Price directed video for “Shorty Left” below.
