Lil Wayne is officially a sneaker designer. Weezy added his touch to pro skater Stevie Williams’ signature sneaker, the Supra S1W. We’ve already seen photos of the shoe, but today (December 6) was its official unveil.

“I asked Wayne if he wanted to do a colorway with my shoe and he said he was up for it,” said Williams in a press statement. “Just supporting Wayne skateboarding, and having his name on my shoe, it just shows how big this skateboarding thing is. I’m excited about it.”

For the “A Milli” rapper, the feeling was mutual and hooking the show was a no-brainer. “It’s dope,” said Lil Wayne in a press statement about the collab. “It’s super dope. Stevie’s a legend, so to even be involved in anything Stevie’s doing is crazy, man—and then to be part of his shoe? Come on, man.”

Besides designing kicks, one of Tunechi’s duties for 2013, along with the release of his I Am Not Human Being 2 album, will be executive producing Juelz Santana’s upcoming Born To Lose, Built To Win, album.

Available right now at Supra, check out photos of the Weezy designed red & white Supra S1W here. Check out Wayne discussing his new alliance with Supra in the video below.
