Mary J. Blige’s Carol’s Daughter Perfume Wins Fragrance Of The Year

At Wednesday’s FiFi Awards, Mary J. Blige won big—taking home Breakthrough Fragrance Sales of the Year and Fragrance of the Year awards for her ‘My Life’ perfume with Carols’ Daughter.

The awards recognized the unique, pioneering approach Carol’s Daughter and Home Shopping Network adopted for the launch of the scent including the idea to debut it exclusively across multiple platforms inspiring consumers to buy the fragrance based on their connection to Mary’s story without ever smelling the product.

The strategy proved to be an unprecedented success and Mary’s first-ever fragrance sold over 100,000 bottles on HSN last year during two appearances.

Speaking on her new accolades, Mary released a statement saying,

“In everything I do, I strive to be the best I can be and create something meaningful that connects me to my fans. It is such an honor to be recognized for this movement called My Life.  It is more than a scent – it is a journey, a celebration … it is my life.”

Mary’s ‘My Life’ fragrance is described as a lush, rich floral composed of gardenia petals, Bartlett pear and white freesia.

On August 13th, Mary J Blige returns to HSN and launches the follow-up to her largely successful fragrance, My Life Blossom, a creamy, addictive floral fragrance that represents how Mary sees life at this moment.
