Shortly after the New Year, Nick Cannon was hospitalized for mild kidney failure. While Nick is recovering now, he still has a long road ahead of him. The Nickelodeon exec remains in good spirits and is slowly learning to embrace what’s ahead of him.

“I don’t get to eat a lot of the things, I like to eat,” Cannon told MTV News. “I’m on a strict level diet. Right now I can’t have any sodium, and then I move on to low sodium. But I’ve got to learn, to love it.”
