B.G. is facing up to 10 years in prison stemming from felony gun charges, and will have to wait until July 18 to learn his fate. The New Orleans rapper, born Christopher Dorsey, pleaded guilty to the charges late last year, but prosecutors with U.S. Attorney Jim Letten’s office want him to spend more time behind bars.

Dorsey and two others were arrested in 2009 during a routine traffic stop, in which three guns, a loaded magazine, and two extended clips were uncovered. His affiliates, Demounde Pollard and Jerod Fedison, also entered guilty pleas in the case.

The looming prison sentence puts him the company of fellow Hot Boy, Lil Wayne who also went to jail for gun possession, but only served eight months.

B.G. lost.
