At long last, Samuel L. Jackson has released his ad telling America to vote for President Obama. Although the message is serious, the piece is written by Adam Mansbach in an adult-storybook style, similar to his other project, Go the F-ck to Sleep.

The video—spoken completely in rhyme—starts out with narration from Jackson, and opens in the bedroom of a young girl who is apparently one of  the only people who cares about voting, even though she’s not old enough to do so. The girl goes into the living room to remind her sleepy parents of the forthcoming election. When they refuse to wake up, Jackson appears out of nowhere, Kangol turned backwards, and sitting on their T.V. stand. “Sorry my friend but there’s no time to snore, an out of touch millionaire has just declared war. On schools, the environment, unions, fair pay, we’re all on our own if Romney has his way,” he announces.  “And he’s against safety nets, if you fall, tough luck. So I strongly suggest that you wake the f-ck up!”

With the little girl by his side, Jackson goes to one location after the another screaming “wake the f-ck up!” to just about everybody in his co-star’s family. (There’s also an extremely awkward scene with a frisky old-couple.)

Check out the entire ad below, and make sure you “wake the f-ck up” and cast your vote, November 6.
