Here we go again. Last night (Friday, May 3), Hot 97’s DJ Mister Cee was arrested for allegedly trying to pick up a male prostitute in Brooklyn.
The popular DJ, credited for helping to discover the Notorious B.I.G. might have gotten away with his salacious behavior. However, the she-dude he tried to pick up was an undercover cop.
The New York Daily News reports:
Popular Hot 97 deejay “Mister Cee” was busted trying to pick up a male prostitute in Brooklyn, cop sources said Saturday.
But Cee, 46, whose real name is Calvin LeBrun, didn’t know that the gigolo he approached at Madison St. and Broadway in Bushwick just before midnight on Friday was really an undercover cop, the sources said.
Cee has been charged with patronizing a prostitute and is waiting to be arraigned.
If this sounds familiar, you are not experiencing deja vu. This is at least Cee’s third time being arrested for a similar crime. In 2011, Cee pled guilty to loitering for the purpose of engaging in prostitution after he was busted for receiving “oral pleasure” from man in a parked car. He also reportedly pled guilty in October 2010 to the same charge.
The 2011 incident didn’t lead to Cee losing his radio gig. Hot 97’s program director Ebro Darden has been tweeting about todays news, saying that it will be addressed on the morning on Monday, May 6. “The listeners are our family. We will address this with you an for you. @HOT97 always stand by Mister Cee.. Family is Family,” he tweeted.
Cee has been charged with patronizing a prostitute and is waiting to be arraigned. Also, last we heard, DJ Mister Cee is married.
