You would think Young Scooter was a jeweler the way he spots fraudulent pieces on “Fake Gold.” The ATLien spares listeners the identities of the perspective perpetrators, but openly admits that a lot of MCs are sporting phony goods.
This track comes in light of Scooter’s recent $50k custom BMG chain purchase, or so we’ve heard. In his eyes, that’s enough validation to chant a chorus that exclaims, “I see a lot of rappers wearing fake gold, I ain’t wearing Versace jewelry no more/ Black Migo Scooter got a gold stove, I got 10 chains and they real gold.”
Atlanta producer Zaytoven, known for his many collaborations with Gucci Mane, laced Scooter with one of his patented bounce-heavy trap beats. DJ Swamp Izzo presents the cut, which is the leading single from the “Columbia” rapper’s forthcoming Street Lottery 2 mixtape. No concrete date has been announced for the project, but it’s said to be dropping soon.
