Last month, Killer Mike and El-P began operating as a tandem under the moniker Run The Jewels. Soon after, listeners were treated to rhymes more vicious than their name on “Get It.” And on this fine Friday, we receive a second bit of truth on a track called “Banana Clipper.”

A hard hitting beat courtesy of El-Producto totally justifies Killer Kill From Adamsville’s line, “Producer gave me a beat, said it’s the beat of the year/ I said El-P didn’t do it, so get the f**k out of here.”

This sets the tone for the duo to let the chopper ring, lyrically, on the raw track. Outkast’s own Big Boi joins the party with a potent closing verse.

Run The Jewels are gearing up to release full project under the Fool’s Gold imprint some time in June. They will also embark on a 29-city tour to accompany the LP beginning July 10.

Until then, check out their previous release and hear “Banana Clipper” below.
