Charlamgne Tha God has developed a devoted following thanks to his candor, which has also earned him his fair share of haters. The co-host of Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club is also farming out his talents to his own MTV 2 show called Charlamagne and Friends, and spoke to Hip-Hop Wired about the new gig, whether he’d ever quit radio and why he considers Drake a “feminine hygiene product.”

“Why not have both forums?,” said Charlamagne of juggling both radio and TV duties. “Plus I love radio. It gives me a healthy balance. I’m a communicator. I need to always constantly be expressing myself. If not I’d probably go crazy. So I need everything. I need to be talking on the radio. I need to be talking on TV. I need to be tweeting, I need to be talking to my therapist.”

Also, Charlamagne defended his non-fandom of Drake by comparing him to Sandra Huxtable of The Cosby Show as well as a feminine hygiene product. You’ll have to listen to that for yourself by watching the video below.

The first episode of Charlamagne and Friends, a special special half-hour, five-episode series, premieres tonight, Tuesday, August 20 at midnight ET.
