Since becoming a power circle in 2011, Maybach Music Group have been one of the prominent, growing cliques in Rap music. And according to a recent discussion with Rick Ross at the 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards, his collective will be expanding yet again very soon.
Mastermind is clearly more than an album title, as the forward thinking Miami rapper said, “We gon’ make a few announcements real soon,” with a confident tone. Without revealing specifics nor a timetable for that matter, Ross simply explained, “When we do it, we gon’ do it right.”
MMG’s past acquisitions include now relevant wordsmiths in their own right like Meek Mill, others that were previously established like Wale and Stalley, and even newcomers like Rockie Fresh.
The only question now is which road Ricky Rozay will take with his latest signings. Will he opt to pair his brand with a veteran? Will he finally add a female to the MMG fold? We’ll have to wait to see what happens, but you can hear Rick Ross speak below.
