It seems like Frank Ocean has his finances in order, which allows him to bluster when need be. After being sued by Chipotle Mexican Grill, the Odd Future crooner cut the restaurant chain a check for the money it was seeking along with a message that read “F*CK OFF.”
Ocean took to his Tumblr to share an image of a cashier’s check totaling $212,500.
As previously reported, Ocean was sued by Chipotle after he was hired to record a song for an ad campaign. Allegedly Ocean backed out, after being paid $212,500 of the agreed $425,000 deal, because he wasn’t comfortable with the Chipotle logo being part of the commercial. Reportedly, Ocean’s camp believed he would have final say on all ads for the campaign (the song, a remake of “Pure Imagination,” would be eventually recorded by Fiona Apple).
