XXL magazine isn’t dead just yet. The long-running Hip-Hop publication plans to continue dropping new issues in 2014 and at least several more next year.
According to MTV News, previous reports that the magazine would be shuttered after its sale from Harris Publications to Townsquare Media were premature.
“We are going to continue doing magazines,” XXL editor-in-chief Vanessa Satten told MTV News.
She added, “We’ll do another issue this year, several issues next year, I’m not exactly sure what the number is, we’ll figure it out but [they’ll] definitely [be] magazines next year.”
The magazine’s current issue, which thought to be its last, features G-Unit on cover. There are also plans for a new Freshman issue, too.
