Carmelo Anthony‘s 2014-2015 season with the New York Knicks is officially over. The team revealed today that he will be having surgery on his troublesome left knee, which has been hampering his play all season.

The Knicks announced today (Feb. 18) that the team’s orthopedist, the renowned Dr. Answorth Allen, will perform a patella tendon debridement and repair of Melo’s left knee.

Anthony’s last action of the season was at the NBA All-Star game on Sunday, Feb. 15, when he tallied 14 points in 30 minutes of play. Hey, he shot mostly jumpers, okay?

The Knicks record is currently 10 – 43, placing them dead last in the Eastern Conference, and the NBA.
