Struggle GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson—he’s still running, seriously—continues to prove that brain surgeons aren’t necessarily very bright. In a recent interview, Uncle Ben asserted that President Barack Obama was  “raised white” and thus can’t relate to his African-American experience.

Politico’s Glenn Thrush was interviewing Dr. Carson on his Off Message podcast when the Republican displayed his epic tone deafness.

“I…like most Americans I was proud that we broke the color barrier when [Barack Obama] was elected. But I also recognize that his experience and my experience are night and day, different,” said Carson. “He didn’t grow up like I grew up by any stretch of the imagination. Not even close.”

Upon further inquiry, he added, “He’s an African American. He was, you know, raised white. Many of his formative years were spent in Indonesia so for him to, ya know, claim that he identifies with the experience of Black Americans I think is a bit of a stretch.” Note, it was the interviewer who initial emphasized the “African” American, but Carson took the bait.

Let’s keep in mind that Barack Obama was raised in Hawaii, attended Columbia University in NYC, went to Harvard Law in Cambridge and was a community organizer in Chicago. He was a Black man in all of these places in America.

Ben Carson, quit the race already. You’re drunk, allegedly.

Listen to the podcast below; Carson’s foolishness can be heard starting around the 16:00 mark.
