The late, great Prince‘s birthday is June 7, but Spike Lee is hosting a birthday celebration for the Purple One this weekend. It’s going down in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn and will be called “Prince Born Day: Purple People Party.”
Also hosted by Sway Calloway, the day party goes down Saturday, June 4 at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration.
“Come dressed in purple #PrincePartyBK,” was the message Lee included when sharing the party flyer on his social networks.
On April 22, the day after news of Prince’s passing broke, Spike hosted a block party outside the offices of his 40 Acres & A Mule Filmworks offices to celebrate Prince.
It’s gonna be a celebration.
