The much-hyped reflective interview between longtime friends Michael Jordan and Ahmad Rashad went down yesterday on NBATV.

Jordan, who is admittedly had a hard time being reflective on his career, finally took a look back in celebration of the transcendent athlete’s 50th birthday. Those who have followed Mike’s career wont learn that much from watching this show, but you do get a much more candid MJ than you have in the past.

Jordan also elaborates on the enduring Kobe Bryant vs. LeBron James debate that  picked up steam in the past few weeks. The six-time NBA champion also talks about his unwillingness to walk away from the game after despite his storybook last championship run that culminated in a game winning jump shot against the Utah Jazz.

The core of the team was signed through the end of the season, but Bulls GM Jerry Krause, broke the team up after refusing to invest in an aging team. “We have to live the rest of our lives with this idea of…wow we could have won seven…or we could have won eight…or we could have won nine. We could have done all that,” Jordan said with visible sadness.

Check out the full NBA TV special, One On one With Ahmad Rashad, after the jump.
