For fans of MTV’s interactive weekly web series RapFix Live, scrambling to a PC wasn’t always an option. The popular show will be added to the MTV Jams lineup, making its television debut today (March 6) at 4 p.m.

While MTV Jams will air the show, the live stream will still be available by visiting MTV’s main page and the network’s RapFix Hip-Hop blog. Host Sway Calloway maintains his role as the host, with today’s episode focused squarely on the highly contested Hottest MCs In The Game list. Sway and the MTV Hip-Hop Brain Trust will reveal the #3 and #4 rappers ahead of a special Hottest MCs in The Game VIII special airing Thursday (March 7) evening on MTV Jams.

MTV Jams also announced that the station will sponsor stages at the upcoming SXSW and mtvU Woodies festivals as well. The MTV Jams stage will feature acts such as the buzzing Trinidad Jame$, Brooklyn boom-bap fiend Joey Bada$$ and Travi$ Scott. The moves look to position MTV Jams as gatekeepers of Hip-Hop music and culture.

“With the launch of RapFix Live and the inaugural MTV Jams stage, we’re looking to provide hip hop fans even more access to the music, lifestyle, fashion and culture that define this genre,” said Amy Doyle, executive vice president of MTV music and talent programming strategy in a press statement.

The Hottest MCs In The Game list has caused controversy with a couple of artists that made the cut reacting to their placements. A$AP Rocky came in at #8 but believes he should have been #1. Kanye West landed at #7 and was moved enough to come off his press sabbatical and call DJ Enuff on Hot 97 to express his frustration.

The #1 spot will be announced on Thursday, March 7 during  the Hottest MCs In The Game VIII special that airs at 1o p.m. ET on MTV Jams.
