The stats say that no song is exempt from getting a trap music makeover these days. Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” is the latest pop hit to get reworked with some hi-hats and hard hitting 808s. This version, titled “Old B***h,” comes courtesy of King L (formerly King Louie), and is the latest installment of his March Madness series.

Gotye’s descriptive revelations about a relationship gone sour get thrown out on the Chi-Town rapper’s track. Instead he spits about money, drugs, and women of ill repute, otherwise known as groupies. “Thinking about my old b***h, like f**k my old b***h/ Pocket full of bandz, like my old whip/ Smoking on that granddaddy, that’s my old piff,” is just a portion on the lengthy chorus, and should let listeners know what to expect from the drill-hop cut.

“Old B***h” was produced by SnapBackOnDaTrack, and can be heard in its entirety below. Fans of King L should also check out his most recent project, Drilluminati, which released January. It definitely speaks to why we placed him on our 25 artists to watch in 2013.
