Rap’s resident queen of digital beef Azealia Banks, who has been on a slandering spree, drops the energetic first single from her debut project, Broke With Expensive Taste.
Titled “Yung Rapunxel,” the track is equally spastic if you compare it to Banks’ previous feats, and sounds like a subliminal diss that could be meant for anyone at this point.
Most recently, Banks made her feelings known about Roc Nation artist Rita Ora, who’s she currently touring with, in the forum she knows best: Twitter.
“Lol Rita Ora is so thirsty,” tweeted Banks. “She climbed over the wall of my dancers dressing room to snap photos. She’s been TRYING IT on this tour man…..” The “212” spitter took the slander to a higher plateau after posting a screenshot of a text Ora sent her.
All beef aside, you may be confused about the meaning of Yung Rapunxel. The young Harlem rapper cleared up its meaning, saying it is a “mad scientist,” and posted the lyrics via her Tumblr account. If all goes as planned, Broke With Expensive Taste will drop this some time this summer. Hip-Hop Wired received exclusive info from Banks, who shared that she may have separate tracks in the works with Beyoncé and Lady Gaga.
