Hodgy Beats’ appearances have dwindled in recent months, much to the dismay of fans. Today, the Odd Future MC reveals that he’s been prepping new material this whole time. We receive the first sampling with an introspective song called “Years.”
Here, the age-old question, “Where do you see yourself in a couple of years?,” creates a forum for Hodgy to examine his imperfections over some very spaced out production.
This inspires the young rapper to play with his flow, and even experiment with a few harmonies on the track.
Fans won’t have to wait long to hear the Mellowhype spitter’s forthcoming project. Titled Untitled 2, the EP follows-up where his 2012 release left off and hits the Internets this Saturday (June 1).
