The Internets are bombarded with new music, projects, etc. everyday, but very few resonate like Chance The Rapper‘s critically acclaimed mixtape, Acid Rap. While on tour promoting the project, the young MC created a short film using footage from two back-to-back shows in his Chicago hometown.

Chance performs standout tracks like “Smoke Again” and “Pusha Man” in the visual.

A live rendition of “Paranoia” is the emotional highlight of the mini-movie. To those who are unaware, this is a secret song tagged to the end of “Pusha Man” that features the Save Money crew rapper examining the perils of living in a community plagued with violence.

Some consider the “Windy City” native’s music to be an acquired taste due to his quirky voice and a clear reggae inflection in his cadence. While Chance’s universal appeal is definitely arguable, one thing is certain; his lyrical prowess, ear for production, and dynamic point of view cannot be denied.
