The 2013 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn. last weekend was full of major headlining musical acts such as Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis among many others. However, an American Sign Language interpreter by the name of Holly nearly stole the show from the Wu-Tang Clan onstage during their performance.

The Shaolin swordsmen were gathered deep in front of a raucous crowd, performing the track “Da Mystery Of Chessboxin” from their 1993 debut album, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).  A video clip captured by a fan was squarely focused on the Clan, but off to the right of the lower part of the stage, Holly was giving it all she had to transform the Wu-Tang’s audio energy into an experience for the hearing impaired.

What is most amazing is that not only does Holly try her best to keep up with the rapid-fire bars blasting behind her, she does so with such animated flair that you almost forget about the legendary rappers gracing the stage. It’s safe to say that after watching this video, it could end up being one of the most awesome clips ever to emerge from Bonnaroo, or anywhere else for that matter.

Check out Holly delivering her ASL bars in the video clip below.
