After toppling Mt. Kilimanjaro and releasing a song to benefit Haiti relief efforts, Lupe Fiasco is lending his name to another cause, this time in politics.
Lupe’s signed up to help the candidate vying for the Senate seat once occupied by President Barack Obama, Cheryle Jackson.
Lupe E.N.D.’s throwing his support behind Cheryle Jackson and endorsing the candidate by performing at her fundraiser.
Lupe will take the stage for Jackson’s fundraiser on Thursday, January 28 at The Shrine in Chicago’s Near South Side area.
Tickets are $30 and all proceeds will benefit Jackson’s campaign.
As previously reported, Jackson announced she was running for Senate in August leading to this upcoming election.
If her name sounds familiar it’s because she was the former Press Secretary for impeached Governor Rod Blagojevich and the current leader of the Chicago Urban League.
