Details are still coming in, but it appears that Washington, D.C. rapper Fat Trel‘s concert at New York’s SOB’s was reportedly shot up early Thursday (September 12) morning. While celebrating the release of his new mixtape, SDMG, a lone gunman allegedly shot the ground leaving four people shot.
The New York Post reports that three men and a woman were shot. Two were hit in the foot and two were grazed in the leg, according to a source. The victims were taken to Beth Israel Hospital and are expected to survive.
Allegedly, the shooting was the result of an altercation between Crips and Bloods [Editor’s Note: so says the Post, so take that with a grain of salt.]
Fat Trel tweeted the news himself shortly after midnight and didn’t seem too disturbed by the incident. “THE INSIDE OF MY SHOW JUS GOT SHUT UP IN NYC!!!! #KKKRRAAAZZYYYY,” tweeted Fat Trel.
According to The DJ Booth’s DJ Z, a man fired five shots and one person was hit in the barrage. “I can confirm that there was a shooting this evening at @SOBs. There were five shots fired, one person was struck,” he tweeted shortly before 1 a.m.
Fat Trel apparently found the incident comical, tweeting to a concerned ally, “BRO DA N-GGA SHOT DA WHOLE CLIP AT DA GEOUND…1 N-GGA GOT HIT IN DA LEG.”
Further details have yet to emerge although Twitter has been going crazy with speculations and NYPD had yet to produce an official report.
