T.I. sounds a lot like himself circa 2006 on a few of his new releases. This remains consistent on a new track called “My Potna,” a record that appears on DJ Scream and DJ MLK’s 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards mixtape.
The Kang represents his day one homies on this bounce heavy cut. And he doesn’t spare any bravado while sharing this message using a dexterous flow. “These ni**as talk tough, but they know they don’t want it/They see me racked up, it kind of f**k with you don’t it,” T.I.P. rhymes.
Please note that “My Potna” is a throwaway cut, which makes us pretty excited to hear what T.I.’s cooking up on his upcoming sequel album, Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head.
Fans will have to wait a bit for that to release, but feel free to stream “My Potna” below in the mean time.
