Rappers come and go but it’s the ones that are truely dedicated to their craft that can’t stay away for too long.

Kansas native, XV has put in major work with his street album release schedule yet he was noticeably absent for much of 2013.

That is, until now where he seems to be ready for the next wave of preaching to his “squarians.” In an effort to clear the cobwebs, he records over something old–and something new to flex his lyrical muscles.

The first quickie happens to be the underground classic, “Guess Who’s Back,” where the reasoning behind the selection speaks for itself. In a brief but effective verse, XV explains his relexation period was cut short due to being antsy.

And to keep up with the current sound of the culture, he goes in over the recently-released “Melrose,” originally scribed by Childish Gambino, who shares a musical similarity with the Midwestern rapper.

Check out the aforementioned “Guess Who?” right here and hit the flip for the second coming with of “Melrose (Refreshed).” Do you think Vizzy still has it? Let us know in the comments, people.
