Atlanta-based newcomer and DIEMON affiliate Russ is back with a new audible delight titled “Goodbye.” The track will appear on his upcoming project, Pink Elephant.

Much like his last offering, Color Blind, this tune is centered around the idea of love and lost. Russ blends eloquent rhymes and harmonies, as he bids adieu to a scandalous significant other.

Needless to say that lines like, “Yea I cracked my windshield/ Lucky that I didn’t crack you/ And I’m feeling drunk in this hotel room trying to ask you/ Bout all of your past dudes, and why is they so present,” feel like they come from a real place.

The plot thickens when he realizes the woman was a wolf in sheep’s clothing the entire time. He shares this message over a somber, sample-based beat that chants goodbye repeatedly. Russ produced the record.

Pink Elephant drops January 23. Hear Russ’s audio rebuttal via “Goodbye” below.
