Machine Gun Kelly had a certified hit in “Wild Boy” a few years ago, but he’s been on a recent hiatus while prepping his new album. Today, he gives fans an audio treat titled “State Of Mind” to whet their appetites.
DJ Whoo Kid premiered the hard-hitting record. Most will recognize the instrumental, as it samples Cam’ron’s Just Blaze-produced favorite, “Welcome To New York City.” Being energetic is never an issue for the Ohio native, but it’s clear that he had something to get off his chest on this track.
“Now these rapper tryna see/Flirting with temptation, they Diana Ross I see/And I heard them names was fake, they must have lost I.D./And they must be employees, cause they ain’t boss like me,” MGK raps on the haunting instrumental.
