Pharrell is currently three months and counting into his year of flourish. For further proof, he appeared on Good Morning America in New York City this morning to perform “Happy” and “Marilyn Monroe” from his G I R L LP.
During the interview portion, Pharrell answered some great fan questions. In the spirit of his hit single, one person asked what makes the Grammy winner happy.
“There’s two answers,” Pharrell said in a prefacing statement. “One: family and friends. Two: doing what I love to do everyday, so it feels like I get paid for nothing.” At the same time, the producer was sure to explain that he’s had points of unhappiness, because he’s human.
A literal room without a roof was Skateboard P’s playground as he and his backup dancers gave a live rendition of the chart topper, “Happy,” from atop the GMA building. See Pharrell in the clips below and on the following pages.
