Tracy Morgan still remains in critical condition following the June 6 fatal car crash that left him and three others in a hospital, but the 45-year-old comedian can probably rest a little easier knowing that he has an entire planet praying for him.
The limo bus which was carrying the entire crew for the “Turn it Funny” stand-up comedy tour was struck from behind around 1:00 am EST on the New Jersey Turnpike following a performance in Dover, DE. Morgan’s longtime writer and friend James “Jimmy Mack” McNair, 63 was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, 35-year-old Kevin Roper has been charged with one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto. Walmart President/CEO Bill Simon says his company will take full responsibility and pay for all of the victim’s expenses if the investigation proves their driver was at fault, TMZ reports.
The outpour of support for Morgan and the victims was immediately overwhelming from athletes, actors, rappers, sports analysts and fellow comedians, all praying for speedy recoveries.
