The reception for Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been less than stellar up unto this point but Paramount Pictures know what to do if first you don’t succeed.
Actually, this would be the second chance at redemption, but who’s really counting?
In a new on trailer that spans nearly three minutes, more of the story’s central plot is revealed, as are two of the biggest characters outside of the heroic turtles.
The wise old sage, Master Splinter and his eternal arch-nemesis Shredder.
In April, it was announced that Danny Woodburn of Seinfeld fame would play the all-knowing rat. William Fichtner has long been confirmed as the Turtles most infamous foe but it seems like his character in the 2014 version will be more puppet master than anything.
Masking their operation as a black market, the Foot Clan bestows new armor on the Shredder, turning him into a “robotic samurai.”
The movie hits theaters August 8. Watch the brand new trailer and then hit the flip to see the recently unveiled posters for the film.
