The forthcoming N.W.A biopic, Straight Outta Compton has yet another detractor in its development and it is coming courtesy from a white man who essentially “started this gangsta sh*t.”

Jerry Heller, the former manager of the Compton quintet and integral component to their break-up, was stopped for questioning by TMZ and had plenty of answers to shoot back.

A bit of controversy was brewed last week when Eric Wright, Jr. (a.k.a. Lil Eazy-E) lashed out at producers and Ice Cube for not giving him a shot to portray his father in the movie. After all, Ice Cube’s son was cast to stand in for his dad but the same snub befell Dr. Dre’s son.

Heller unsurprisingly sided with Lil Eazy, saying “they certaintly should have given him a chance to read for the role and given his father that respect.”

The 73-year-old industry figurehead founded Ruthless Records with Eazy-E in 1986 but their business practices lead to the deflection of all the members individually, beginning with Ice Cube in 1989. Cube made the separation extremely public in his infamous 1991 diss record, “No Vaseline.”

Heller also holds some reservation as to how he will be depicted in the film, à la the “F**k wit Dre Day (And Everybody’s Celebratin’)” video.

“Naturally, since there is some aniomosity between me and some of the producers, I’m concerned about my portrayal,” he revealed.

Check out the rest of the video interview where Heller admits to the Eazy-E Coachella hologram being nothing short of “disrespectful and explotiative.”
