UPDATE: Well, that didn’t take long. Hear the CDQ version of Ab-Soul’s new cut after the jump.

“Where’s Max B when you need him,” Ab-Soul asks on a new track called “To The Max.” Premiered by Statik Selektah on his Showoff Radio mixshow, the cut is an ode of sorts to the incarcerated Harlem rappers.

Soul recorded this track while on the “Smokers Club” tour and was supposed to appear on the rapper’s These Days… LP. Sonically, the cut dons a smooth instrumental, which inspired the TDE rapper to deliver a spot-on verse that’s laden in metaphors and witty lines.

Hit the jump to hear Ab-Soul wax poetics. And peep the Max B reference at the end of the track.
