The Houston teacher that was caught on tape dragging, punching and kicking a child in class is now facing a lawsuit from the child’s parents.
As previously reported science teacher Sherri Lynn Davis lost her job last week after video surfaced of her beating one of her students that reportedly made fun of a special needs girl.
13-year-old Isiah was seen in the video being backed into a corner before the teacher attacks him, dragging him across the floor by his legs and repeatedly punching and kicking him.
The boy’s parents filed the lawsuit in court against the teacher and the boy’s school Jamie’s House Charter School Thursday morning.
40-year-old Davis has since issued an apology for her behavior and addressed media assembled at her attorney’s office saying,
“I apologize for the pain that the result of this situation has brought. I apologize for this particular incident.”
